Revlon Professional Shines at Venus VIP Event

Niagara Falls recently played host to manufacturers and hair and beauty professionals to celebrate another successful year of the Venus VIP Event.

“Revlon was one of our headliners so we’re really excited that they presented for us; it went over really well,” Vincent Riverso, President of Venus Beauty Supplies told Canadian Hairdresser.
“We started this VIP event in Windsor about eight years ago and it’s grown exponentially every year. It’s a great event to bring our manufacturers and our customers together and it gives our customers an opportunity to spend some quality time with the educators,” he added.

The two-day event featured an evening show by special guest Revlon Professional, where guests were invited to gain inspiration from Revlon Professional Guest Artist and 2015 NAHA Colour Winner, Marlo Steenman. Steenman showcased looks from her award-winning collection and was joined onstage by Revlon Professional Global Master Artist Jean-Sebastien Chalut, and Technical Development Specialist, Kristen McIntosh. Revlon also unveiled their new Fall/Winter Collection, launching for the first time in North America: pARTy, featuring bold colours and sophisticated cuts inspired by modern works of art.

“Venus has hit the sweet spot for how to interact with stylists in this day and age,” explained Marty Flaherty, General Manager of Revlon Profession. “This is where hairstylists can come and talk to the artists, they can put their hands in the models hair, they can interview Marlo personally at the cocktail party and you just don’t get that same level of interaction at a big show.”

Day two of the VIP event included an intimate trade show, meet and greets with manufacturer educators and artists and onstage demonstrations.
