Remembering Joan Harrison

Joan Harrison, President and Publications Director of our magazine passed away in Toronto last Saturday October 7th, and no words can express our sadness.

Joan was born in England, United Kingdom, but made Canada her home for over 50 years, and during that time she became an icon of the professional hair and beauty industry. Joan was a hairstylist, educator and salon owner before becoming a publisher and mentor to hairstylists in Canada and abroad. Joan is survived by her husband Clayton Harrison and son Michael.
Following Joan's wishes, there will not be a funeral service in the next days, but a celebration of Joan's life will be held at a future date. Thank you to all who have expressed their thoughts and have shared their memories of Joan through our social media channels.
Rest in peace Joan Harrison, you will be always remembered.
